Special versions of the latest Jeep Grand Cherokee STR8 models have been presented to two of the biggest names in motor racing.
Custom-built versions of the high-performance Jeep cars, which are kitted out with exclusive Rosse Corsa coloured exteriors, have been delivered to Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso.
The cars are the first two versions of the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 to be delivered in Europe. This version will not be available in Australia until March.
Beth Paretta, director of marketing and operations for the SRT brand and motorsports at the Chrysler Group, was responsible for handing over the identically-built cars.
"We're excited and proud to be able to share 'Ferrari-style' custom-built versions of the most powerful and best handling Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 ever with two of the most talented drivers in the world," she commented.
Ms Paretta emphasised that the vehicles combine Jeep's luxury and refinement with advanced innovative technologies for all driving enthusiasts.
Among the features of the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 is its ability to go from zero to 0.6mph in just 4.8 seconds, with a top speed of 155mph.
It is also equipped with Fuel Saver Technology to help keep fuel bills down.
Whilst the new versions of the Jeep Grand Cherokee will not be available in Australia until March, Sydney-siders can still test drive the current models. Simply visit Peter Warren Jeep dealership in Liverpool, Sydney to check out the range.
